Justin Bieber is criticized for saying that Anne Frank could be a 'belieber'


The teen pop star Justin Bieber became a target social media after saying that Anne Frank could be a "belieber", the name by which he calls his fans.
The controversy began after the Anne Frank House museum report that Bieber wrote in the guestbook entity's expected that the young victim of the Holocaust was a "belieber" The organization announced through his Facebook profile, on Saturday (13) Bieber had visited the museum the night before and spent more than an hour, accompanied by a group of friends and guards. The sentence written in the guestbook generated hundreds of comments on the social network of people reacting negatively to the choice of words Bieber. "Anne Frank one belieber? This is by far one of the most selfish things I've ever read, like always," wrote a user of Facebook, Tania Saez Pinto.
Media commentators also joined the controversy. Scott Simon, host of National Public Radio, said on Twitter: "Anne would be wise enough to just laugh."
A representative for Bieber did not return calls or an e-mail on Sunday about the controversy over his comment on the guestbook.
Anne Frank, who died at age 15 in the concentration camp of Bergen-Belsen in 1945, is one of the most notorious Jewish victims of the Holocaust.
Readers worldwide read his diary, published in 1947, and details personal triumphs and hardships she and her family spent time in which they hid from Nazi occupation in Holland.
